Here's a new, stupid, politically correct comment from a Pope who is always contradicting what ever he or his predecessors said. There are so many contradictions in what he says in this statement alone. First of all, Christians claim that it was God's plan to sacrifice his only son, Jesus, so that all of man's sins would be forgiven. So if it was God's plan, then neither the Jews nor the Romans should ever have been blamed. It was God who should be blamed, but of course that's not possible since that God can only receive credit for good things like healing, miracles etc. - but cannot receive blame for anything bad. Logic dictates that if an omnipotent being is responsible for all the good things that happen then he is also responsible for the bad things. But because God could not be blamed according to their doctrine, intolerance and hate have reigned for thousands of years and millions of lives have been lost because someone had to be blamed. (and no, it's not the devil who can be blamed either because their make believe God allows that devil to exist)

If their Gospels are correct, then the Jews were very much to blame for Jesus' death. The Jews did not like this young man correcting their Rabbis on Jewish Law, telling them their laws were superficial and in many cases, meaningless without truly loving Elohim in their hearts. (well, in their consciousness) ;-) It was quite convenient for the Jews to turn in a politically INcorrect Jesus over to Herod, who was responsible for making sure there was no social unrest. And Jesus was definitely a revolutionary in a world of Jewish tradition.

So once again, the Vatican needs to reconcile the contradictions in their own gospels. The Bible says the Jews turned Jesus over to Herod. Period. It's not rational to keep changing the story. Make a stand and stick with it instead of reinterpreting and recontextualizing in order to be politically correct. Politically correctness is what caused the Jews to turn over Jesus to Herod in the first place. This latest statement from the Pope is just another attempt to distance himself from anything to do with the "politically correct anti-Semitic phobia" which Rael points out is penalizing the entire planet. What they say is terribly compelling, and should be required reading for all Jews and Christians. Be ready to learn a lot about the Middle East! :-)

And while forgiveness is necessary for any of us, before the Pope starts handing out forgiveness so benevolently, he should first take responsibility for the terrible things he is continuing. To name just a couple: Covering up thousands of cases of Pedophilia as well as continuing to commit genocide by lying to African populations, telling them that condoms do not stop the AIDS virus. This causes untold suffering and death. The Pope should be at the front of the "forgiveness line". But forgiveness cannot happen unless he starts repairing the damage, right?

There's just one more thing. Attorneys Jon Levy and Thomas Easton (www.vaticanbankclaims.com) have amassed more than a little evidence that the Vatican/Pope actually helped Nazis during WWII by laundering stolen money and treasure.

So who should be forgiving whom?
