The number of generations since creation

666 If you are among those who are scared to wake up this morning on the 6th of the 6th, 2006, spooked by movies like "the Omen", or excited expecting something big to happen, I am afraid you may be disappointed, as this day is just another day, just as the number 666 is neither magical nor mystical.
Numbers cannot influence our brain, our life, or our future, unless we decide to let them. Numbers are just numbers. The strange fear associated with 666 comes from an interpretation of the following quote in the book of Revelation (Apocalypse) of the Bible:

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Revelation 13: 18.
